Live in Upwey and craving Indian? Shiraaz is just down the hill on Burwood Highway, at the corner of Dawson Street in Upper Ferntree Gully, and has been cooking for the hills since 1995.

It's an easy stop on the way home from the city or the train, and a relaxed spot for a family dinner or a night out after a day in the Dandenong Ranges. Owner and head chef Lal Khatri cooks traditional North Indian and tandoori dishes with fresh ingredients and authentic spices.

Guests come back for the butter chicken, lamb rogan josh and garlic naan. There's a wide range of vegetarian dishes, vegan options on request, and shared banquets for groups. We hold a 5-star rating from Knox City Council for food handling and hygiene.

Dinner is served every night from 5pm, with lunch on Thursdays. Book a table, or order takeaway online and pick it up on your way up the hill.
